About the Artist:
Mackenzie Kissell is a self-taught artist based in West Tennessee, where she paints from her small home studio nestled in the heart of the countryside. A wife and homeschooling mama to six young children, Mackenzie finds beauty and inspiration in her faith, her family, and the simple joys of rural life.
Her painting style is known for its texture, softness, and soul — with a muted, earthy palette and expressive brushwork. She primarily works with acrylic on canvas, often adding drippy layers and touches of gold metallic to create depth and warmth. From rustic barns and country churches to florals, portraits, and faith-filled imagery, each piece she creates is rooted in meaning and made to glorify God.
When she’s not painting or teaching at the kitchen table, you’ll likely find Mackenzie tending to their small homestead or diving into a DIY project. She also paints live at weddings and events, capturing real moments as they unfold.
Mackenzie’s goal is simple: to honor the Lord with every brushstroke, and to create artwork that blesses and inspires others.
